Balch Springs Fire Rescue is a full time paid department which runs out of 1 station combination police/fire department complex building, 8 personal that includes, a Battalion Chief, 1 Captain and 6 fire fighters that are drivers/medics/emt's that work a 24 hour shift on and 48 hours off A-B-C Shift. The fire chiefs office along with the arson investigators office is located at the complex also the administrative office. Ems/Als transport is provided by Care flite, Bsfr responds to all fire, medical and vehicle accidents in the city.

Fire Chiefs Ride 2009 Dodge Charger belongs to the Chief of the department very first charger Ive seen a fire chief have.

 Battalion 1  2009 Chevrolet Tahoe the Battalion Chief drives this rig to any where a IC is needed.                             Mostly runs on structure fires and motor vehicle entrapments. 

 

 Arson 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe the arson investigator drives this rig. it is a twin as Battalion 1   

Truck 1 

Truck 1 1999 Kme-Cat  1250 gpm 300 gallon tank, 75 foot aerial   a crew of 2 fire fighters that is first up on motor vehicle accidents with Engine 2, responds to all Structure fires with both Engines and Battalion 1. If nor Engines are not available Truck 1 will respond to medical runs.

 

Engine 1 

 

Engine 1  is a 2003 Pierce Dash 1500 gpm 750 gallon tank, Engine 1 runs a crew of 2 fire fighters that responds first on ems medical runs and both engines are first on Structure fires. Engine 1 also has a Scene light on top of the cab.

 

Engine 2 

 

Engine 2  is a twin of Engine 1 a 2003 Pierce Dash 1500 gpm 750 gallon tank, except Engine 2 runs a crew of 3      1 Captain, 2 fire fighters that responds first on motor vehicle accidents and second on medical runs and both  engines are first on Structure fires. Engine 2 carries the Extraction equipment aka (Jaws of Life) and a Scene light on top of the cab

Booster 6

Booster 6 2001 Ford 250gpm 500 gallon tank normally responds on all brush fires and mutual aid calls usually a fire fighter or 2 jumps on it.
